Muggy Weld Premium Welding Rods and Fluxes for Welding, Brazing and Soldering
This promotional video features the entire Muggy Weld product line: Super Alloy 1 multi-metal low temperature solder, Super Alloy 5 aluminum welding rod and flux kit, SSF-6 56% silver solder, SSQ-6 56% silver solder syringe, 72 burnt cast iron electrode, 77 cast iron electrode, and Heat Freeze Heat Paste.
Super Alloy 1 is a 350°F solder that bonds all white metals and can also join white metals to practically any other metal–even ferrous to non-ferrous metals, like steel to aluminum. Super Alloy 1 is an all position rod which enables quick and easy soldering repairs with little or no preheating. Ideal for repairing pot metal pitting, Super Alloy 1 can be applied with any heat source including a heat gun, propane torch, or soldering iron.
Super Alloy 5 is an aluminum welding rod and flux kit that brazes all types of aluminum with any torch: propane, oxyacetylene, natural gas, MAPP gas, or oxy-MAP. The resulting bond is 30,000 psi: stronger than the parent metal and can be threaded, anodized, bent, machined, drilled, plated, or tapped. The filler rod is a perfect color match to aluminum and can be applied at 600°F without base metal sagging, warping, or wrinkling thanks to its low working temperature.
SSF-6 is a cadmium-free high-strength 56% silver solder alloy which acts an ideal replacement for fluxless silver solder coils. SSF-6 can be used with a variety of metals at over 70,000 psi, flows easily, has high thin flow (1 inch can flow 18 inches!) SSF-6 . It can be used on cast iron, stainless steel, brass, copper, bronze, mild steel, carbide, carbon steel, spring steel, manganese steel, galvanized iron, inconel , cupronickel, silver, gold, cast steel and more–individually or with other metals.
SSQ-6 is our high-strength 56% silver solder paste form of SSF-6 which bonds a variety of metals at over 85,000 psi.
72 burnt cast iron welding electrode is nickel free, penetrates deep to seal in contaminants, and is used in conjunction with 77 cast iron electrode.
77 premium cast iron welding rod produces machinable welds which are porosity-free, high strength, and crack resistant. This cast iron rod is specially formulated with a high current carrying capacity and unique coating to convert impurities of the base metal into slag. 77 cast iron electrodes are softer than nickel rods and allow the welds to stretch and elongate up to 300 percent more than other rods, preventing the base metal and weld from cracking.
Heat Freeze Heat Absorption Paste (formerly Cool Blue) is a cellulose based, all-natural product that prevents warping and damage by protecting heat-sensitive areas around the welding site. Heat Freeze protects up to 3000 °F, can be used in any position on a variety of surfaces including metal, wood, plastic, glass, chrome, vinyl, paint and rubber.
