I am attempting to make all of these fittings air tight as they are used for pressure measurements. We can¹t have any leaks. I had very little warpage of my base metal and I think this is really going to work out very well.

Basic Safety Guidelines

The following recommendations are basic guidelines for welding safety when utilizing all Muggy Weld products.  Please visit http://www.aws.org/technical/facts/ prior to use, and adhere to all AWS welding safety guidelines.


Personal Protection:
Use adequate local exhaust for welding fumes. Avoid grinding dust inhalation.  Keep appropriate fire extinguishing equipment nearby, and know how to use it.  Keep out of reach of children. 

 

  • Respiratory protection: use an air purifying dust respirator.

  • Hands protection: wear chemical and oil impervious gloves to prevent skin contact.

  • Eyes protection:  welder’s helmets for arc rods, brazing glasses for torch rods.

  • Skin protection:   wear appropriate overalls to prevent skin or body contact.

 

First Aid Measures:

  • Eyes: Flush with water for 15 minutes. Call a physician.

  • Skin: Wash thoroughly with water. If rash develops call a physician.

  • Inhalation: Remove to fresh air or administer oxygen. Call physician.

  • Ingestion: Get medical attention immediately.

 

Handling and Storage:

  • Storage Requirements: Store in plastic containers in cool area, away from heat.   Prevent contact with food.

  • Handling Precautions: Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Safe precautionary practices to avoid spills and exposure to skin and fumes.

Cadmium is not food safe, and should not be ingested in any way.  Poisonous fumes may be formed on heating. 

 

Do not breathe fumes.  Use only with adequate ventilation, such as fume collectors, ventilators, or NIOSH approved respirators.  If chest pain, cough, or fever develops after use, call physician immediately.  Keep away from children.
